The Strain is well worth the read and if the television production can utilize the same elements of the graphic novelization (i.e. creepy visuals with lots of dark and brutal surroundings, deep pale faces, ultimate evil depictions, strong characterizations, etc.), then it should be a runaway hit. Overall, this is a good book. It has its hiccups that stop it from being a phenomenal story, but you should definitely give this book a read, or two since you probably won't know what is happening the first time you read it. The art is detailed and the story does have its moments of greatness. Front Towards Gamer - Lido Nov 25, 2013

It's entirely possible that I'm just experiencing The Strain: The Fall in the wrong context and that looking back on this series as a trade paper back or in its original novel format I'll actually have a greater fondness for it, but as is this really doesn't seem to be working as a monthly series.
