There are few titles that have captured my love month in and month out. There are even fewer that can maintain it for so long. Red Sonja for Simone and Geovani's run has been one such title. I can't really think of a bad issue that I have read. It has been the best portrayal of the She Devil that I have encountered. And as Issue #15 ends, I do not see any sign of things stopping. Sonja is way far away from being out of this darkness as of yet and her biggest challenge still awaits her with the next issue. And it looks as she may be going this new challenge alone too. Red Sonja continues to be one of Dynamite‘s best current series, with this current arc being truly captivating. Delivering an exciting, yet dramatic set of events, this latest issue is a wonderful extension to this fabulous property, coming highly recommended. Read Full Review
Aside from a couple of possible proofreading issues, Red Sonja 15 is another great tale in the life of everyone's favorite redheaded barbarian. Yes there is a violent end to the conflict in this issue, but this is a very different kind of Red Sonja story. The focus is more on her strength of will rather than her martial prowess. Its this type of playing against type that always leads to the most interesting developments in this book. After the way last issue ended, I was genuinely interested in seeing where things would go from there and the creative team did not disappoint. They almost recreated that last moment at the end of this issue, but this time knowing another issue is coming did lessen the shock value. i have no doubt next issue will have its own interesting elements as well though. Gail Simone has a huge fan following which will help bring readers across from D.C. so she has a responsibility to create a strong book to keep them entertained and coming back. That goal, I think, has been achieved with this issue. Read Full Review
Red Sonja's tales have been unquestionably strong since Gail Simone took the reins, the writer's take fiery and assured both in content and tone. That being said, issue #15 reads as a quiet step back for the series, the climax of the book's latest arc failing to fully draw blood. Read Full Review
