    Kabooooom - Marcus Hammond Jul 10, 2016

There's no Rick, Maggie, Carl or Michonne in this issue. It's an issue of antagonists doing what they do best while surviving the zombie apocalypse. Kirkman knows exactly how to build tension and momentum in this issue of The Walking Dead and bring the story to a halt with exposition. Adlard, Gaudiano, and Rathburn know how to perfectly work in unison with Kirkman's aspects tocreate a perfect well paced, tension filled masterpiece. Read Full Review

    IGN - Jesse Schedeen Jul 6, 2016

The Walking Dead truly fired on all cylinders this month, taking full advantage of the dangerous, unpredictable dynamic between two key villains. This issue serves as a particularly apt reminder of just how memorable a character Negan is, and it also promises to shake up an already unpredictable status quo in a big way. Read Full Review

Flickering Myth - Zeb Larson Jul 9, 2016

Overall, this makes for one of The Walking Dead's better issues in recent memory. It deepens Negan's character, subverts a lot of people's expectations, and makes this new war all but inevitable for #157 and the new arc. Read Full Review

    Graphic Policy - Brett Jul 6, 2016

This is a key issue that should have fans buzzing. Where the series goes from here is anyone's bet, because while the act committed could be seen a mile away, the why is a mystery that's yet to come. Read Full Review

    GWW - Sarah Payne-mills Jul 9, 2016

Once again, Kirkman moves the story forward toward the Whisperer War in issue 157. I would've liked to see more of Alpha, and it would've been a change of pace if Negan hadn't manipulated her so easily. I enjoyed the issue focusing on one storyline, and I'll be interested to see where it goes next with Beta out for justice. Read Full Review
