Jamie, this is the last time we have to do big crowd and fight scenes. I swear, we can get through this. Two more issues after this, and then we can have a sleep.

    Two more issues after this, and this tale comes to an end. The Wicked & The Divine #43 gave us the revelations we have been waiting for a long time now. Everything came full circle, while at the same time presenting us with the last of the obstacles that our cast of heroes should have to face before their stories end.     The issue is equal parts action, poignant story, and stunning reveal with a huge punch. Gillen and McKelvie continue to stun with this tight, precise story but this issue is truly a standout and easily one of the best comics out there. Read Full Review

    The Wicked + The Divine #43 gives readers the answers theyve been waiting for. Its a masterfully crafted issue. It lays out the reasoning behind the Recurrence and offers readers a glimpse of Anankes greatest trick. It takes what could have been a big fight issue and makes it something more and tops it all off with an ending that fits perfectly with what we know of the character who instigates it.     But WicDiv #43 isn't the final or even the penultimate issue of the series so it's not that easy, and the final page is dynamic and a reminder of with whom and why I fell in love with the series five years ago as I took a leap of faith and signed up for that John Milton elective class.
