Carnero delivers beautiful art in the issue. The visuals are one of the main draws for me as a fan of the character and this issue delivers some great visual moments. Read Full Review

    Plot
Electro is sent by the members of the Sinister Six to free Sandman from Ravencroft but he does not have the presence of Spider-man and Jackpot, who with the help of the other inmates stop them. The prisoners do not want to escape thanks to Anna Watson who has taught them the possibility of vindicating themselves and withdrawing from the criminal world. However Flint Marko awakens and takes control of William Baker's body and Sandman escapes.

This installment highlights the emotional tension between Peter and MJ, who now share a dynamic as superheroes that somehow makes them more empathetic with each other, there remains a deep love and desire between them.

A good issue, definitely liked the Ravencroft stuff. There could be some more fun stories to tell there but it looks that all we got were those two. Having Anna in there and helping everyone become better people and want to reform back to society is great. Now it's likely gone. And chance of seeing these villains vanished. Much like my interest in seeing MJ and Peter talk about how they're in a weird place. Again. And again. People can just be friends with their former significant others without there being drama or whatever this boring do-nothing recycled dialogue is. That all may sound harsh but I didn't hate the issue whatsoever. Just stop the will they won't they in Peter's relationships. Either have him be single or have him be with so more

This issue is certifiably okay in every respect, but it's also deeply lackluster. Nothing ever gets its due. Wells signaled this thing with the lawyer ages ago with like 2 pages, and then there's 2 pages here*. The interactions with MJ are unsatisfying. The antics of the S6 are generic to the point of parody. The writing here is too patient and not nearly ambitious enough and the result is the opposite of gripping.

*It's Ben. Ben is doing this. Obviously. This foreshadowing isn't generating suspense, it's just telling us exactly what's going to happen. That's not foreshadowing; that's telegraphing.

It’s kind of hilarious to see the meh Electro on the cover and as soon as you open the comic there’s an almost full page of him that looks outstanding. I don’t like JRJRs art but they did him dirty with that.

Honestly had a moment of wanting to tear the book apart during the first interaction of Peter and MJ. In later scenes it feels like either Wells is teasing a reunion or just flaming the people who are unhappy with the run.

If something is being setup with this crazy Michelle woman, I’m not feeling it.

Another super generic issue of this series. I liked the part with him and Mary Jane talking, and the art is a huge step up from JRJR, but this series is ass. It's just so boring.
