I absolutely buy into the idea that Miles would take Uncle Aaron up on his offer. Sure, Nick Fury and Iron Man offered to help him a few issues ago, but those guys are larger than life to a kid like Miles. Aaron is his uncle, Aaron is family. What business does Miles have thinking that the Ultimates would just drop everything to help him with this? It makes total sense for the character to take his uncle up on his offer, and no doubt it's going to lead to some great stories. Read Full Review
As much as I miss seeing Sara Pichelli's artwork on this book, Marquez is quickly proving himself to be a brilliant replacement. His figure and facial work is impeccable, as are his unique page layouts. His backgrounds do appear eerie sometimes because of the use of CG elements, but otherwise it's difficult to imagine a better replacement for Pichelli. While Sara Pichelli is the standard bearer for all things Ultimate Spider-Man, David Marquez does a pretty snazzy job while Justin Ponsor's color treatment is money as usual. Overall, a very good book with a villain you will want to reach into the panels and slap upside the head. Read Full Review

Bendis and Marquez deliver another great issue of the adventures of Miles Morales as Spider-Man. Bendis puts the action off to the side as we see Miles deal with his shady uncle, further illustrating the complete opposite relationship that Peter Parker had with his uncle. It's an interesting angle but it does make you long a little for some regular Spider-Man action as well. It was hard to believe that Peter Parker could be replaced. Bendis is continuing to show us that life in the superhero world can move on. Marquez's art fits in perfectly with the action in the book. I almost didn't buy this issue, not because there is anything wrong with the story, but because once again there are only 17 pages of content in this issue. I have accepted the fact that I will generally have to pay a little extra for most Marvel titles, but I would still like there to be just as many pages. Thankfully the current story line and art still keep bringing me back each month. We are starting to see Miles grow in his powers and understanding what his responsibilities for having them are, and it has been a treat to watch which is why I'm giving this 3.5 out of 5 stars. Hopefully future books will have a little more content, but I am looking forward to where it is headed with the Spider-Men crossover in the near future. Read Full Review
