Very fun issue all around and if you haven't read this series yet, I suggest picking up the hardcover book containing the first five issues due to be out next month. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - Kelly Thompson Jan 19, 2012

Never did I think I would be so excited about a Spider-Man comic book, but after six months, this is still one of the titles I most look forward to most every month. That's thanks to a perfectly paired creative team delivering an exceptional origin story. This month proves that it's more than just that; it's also smart decisions on the part of Marvel, choosing a fill-in artist of Samnee's caliber and style, making sure that the book doesn't hit a wrong note at this early point in the book's run. It might have taken a half of a year to get to this point, but Miles Morales is finally out there as the new Spider-Man of the Ultimate Universe. Thankfully, the character's official unveiling to the public is pulled off smoothly by Bendis and Samnee. Read Full Review

Major Spoilers - Zach Woolf Jan 25, 2012

Bendis continues to develop Miles as a relatable character while starting to build in more story lines. This issue still has the same pacing from pervious issues, but you can just feel the story about to shoot off the line with Miles's first big encounter. Again, Samnee's art isn't bad it's just different. Hopefully on the next issue I will be use to it so I don't pull myself out of the issue. Ultimate Spider-Man continues to be a title that you should be reading and I'm giving this issue 3.5 out of 5 stars. Read Full Review

Which brings me back to how I feel about this issue. It's a growing pain. All 20 pages of it. It isn't perfect, but nor it is worthy of scorn. Like life, Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #6 is simply a little step in a much larger story. Read Full Review

    Newsarama - David Pepose Jan 18, 2012

Six issues in, it feels like this issue is an interlude, which is Bendis's prerogative " after all, he and Samnee are quality in general " but we need more meat and higher stakes, fast, or the energy for Ultimate Comics Spider-Man will continue to flag. Read Full Review
