Every sin casts a shadow...
After years of purgatorial exile, Jack Boniface - the newly returned Shadowman - is back in the one place he thought he'd left behind for good: the damned dimension known as Deadside! His mission? To recover a lost relic of the Shadowman legacy that could redefine the eternal balance of power between the living and the dead. If he fails, the vengeful voodoo god called Baron Samedi will exact a terrible toll on the souls of humanity... But - back among the monsters, back among the cursed - can Jack stand resolute against evil incarnate... without succumbing to the call of the literal demons within himself?

Comics: The Gathering - Nathan Koffler May 22, 2018

Of the first three issues of this new Shadowman series, this one impressed me the most. It is packed with so much action and story that it feels so much longer than 33 pages and yet I’m never bored with it and am still bummed when I reach the last page. There is nothing lacking from this third issue as the writing and artwork are all incredible and come together to make a really fun and exciting comic book. Do yourself a favor and get caught up with this series because it is obvious that this story is going to continue to be exhilarating. Read Full Review

    Spartantown - Enrique Rea May 26, 2018

'Shadowman' is the type of great serial storytelling that keeps you glued to the page rooting for the good guys for their safety and for reconciliation. Diggle makes you care about them and that's vital when you're thrust into a dangerous supernatural thriller. This is unlike most comics especially the superhero type because Jack is a reluctant defender against dark forces who sees his powers as much as a curse as a gift. Nonetheless, along with Alyssa, they make a great duo in the face of deadly circumstances. This is another page-turning, rollicking action series from Valiant that you can't miss. Read Full Review

    Comicsverse - AJ Zender May 24, 2018

SHADOWMAN #3 has a really powerful and focused edge to its plot and characterization. While Alyssa Miles has largely been the star of this reintroduction, Jack happily steals the spotlight in this action-packed issue. Read Full Review

The Brazen Bull - Dave Robbins May 23, 2018

Shadowman is more than a sum of its parts. Plot points about relationships, conspiracies and the battle of good versus evil are all told with freshness and intensity that are always welcome, if too infrequently seen in lesser comics. Read Full Review

Geeked Out Nation - Jideobi Odunze May 23, 2018

Shadowman #3 was one heck of a way to up the stakes in this confrontation with Baron Samedi. Standout character development, always appreciated world exploration of the Deadside, and it is a plus to never know what's about to come next till it does. They take advantage of the things we can't foresee, and that goes a long way in investment in this plot and anticipation for the issues to come. Read Full Review

Bleeding Cool - Joshua Davison May 28, 2018

Shadowman #3 is another solidly good issue in this series. Its at-times fun, weird, and creepy. The art team supports that with good visual work, and the comic earns itself another recommendation. Check it out. Read Full Review

Valiant's "Shadowman" is back with the vengeance of a disrespected loa and issue #3 shows no signs of slowing down what has already been a fast-paced narrative complete with dizzying shifts between the worlds of the living and the dead. Read Full Review
