Overall, this is a fantastic issue that would enthrall new readers and draw them into this world as a jumping on point just as expertly as it will satisfy and intrigue readers who've been following this run since it began Valiant's relaunch in 2012. Read Full Review

X-O Manowar #43 is a tantalizing start to this story arc setting the bar high for subsequent issues with its no holds barred action, the dynamics of the overall situation and story progression. It starts off with a bang and only slows down to develop an engrossing story that takes time to address the intricacies of the overall situation with the Vine's arrival. I do wish more was shown with the Vine in terms of how they're viewed around the world good or bad. But overall it's a very promising start to what can be an incredible story arc. Read Full Review

All in all X-O Manowar #43 is well put together comic book. The artwork is tight and writing is well done. I know that if you pick up a copy that you probably become addicted to its storyline and want to follow the exploits of Aric the noble Visigoth warrior of Dacia. Read Full Review

Overall this is far from a bad comic, but it's not quite as good as someX-O Manowarissues have been lately. It is still early in the arc, however, and there's enough here that makes me want to read the next issue. Worth reading, if nothing else. Read Full Review

The scale really tips back and forth for me on this issue. I liked it, but it definitely has some problems. They're small, but they add up. Pacing here, weird story elements there. In the end it's an enjoyable issue if you've been reading the series, but really it's almost to issue 50 so if you're reading it you'll likely to continue reading it no matter what. Don't worry, it's worth reading. There could be some interesting things to come from this and at the very least it tells me that our heroes are a bit more "anti" than I gave them credit for. If you're just starting X-O Manowar with this issue, it's going to be a little rough, but not impossible to follow. Otherwise, keep reading. Read Full Review

I realize that they are alien sleeper agents, but is it really okay to murder them without a trial? It would be more heroic to capture and imprison these vine agents, but then again, I suppose this is a mission led by US and British military intelligence agencies, so it's actually pretty close to the real world that they'd take this approach, sadly.
