After the first couple pages, I won't lie...I was kinda annoyed that Mark and Eve weren't gonna get their romantic date. The whole shtick where something interrupts them just as they were about to have a moment was one more incident away from getting old. So naturally I was very pleased with the last few pages, and wow did Ottley kill it with the art. A surprisingly heartfelt moment that, I must s more

Once, Black Bolt's voice could shatter planets. Now, it cannot even break down the walls that hold him. The Midnight King is naught but a wounded prisoner - and his family but lambs to the slaughter. They will plea for help from a distant ally. It will not save them.

The art here still wasn't my favourite, but good grief was Donny Cates' writing good...so good that it made up for what was lacking with the art. The Black Eulogy...that was so cool. I've never cared much for the Inhumans, but I've always thought that they could actually be really cool in the hands of a really good writer. I love Black Bolt, conceptually, but unfortunately the Inhumans haven't rea more

Man...it's been a long time since I read a Donny Cates book, and this reminded me why he's one of my favourite writers. This was epic, brutal, and devastating. Only points off are for the art which was inconsistent. Good in parts, bad in others. The story and writing are absolutely peak though.
