Summary: The Collector's wife returns from the dead after 3 billion years due to the Grandmaster. His wife prefers to go back to being dead due to her apathy for living. SS asks him why he aided the Grandmaster when he tried to kill the Avengers. The Collector tells him that he owed the Grandmaster a debt for saving his life. SS is greeted by Espirita who was added to the Collector's collection when she didn't die from the poison (see WCA Annual #2). SS returns Espirita to Earth. She asks him if he is a herald of the Messiah, which he obviously denies. Kree & Skrull ships have an encounter somewhere in the Milky Way. When the Kree board the Skrull ship, they find the Skrull have committed suicide, except for one which is disguised. The Skrulls are protecting the secret that they have lost their shape-changing power. SS is attacked by the Elder, The Runner, who intends to kill him. SS is eventually overpowered, knocked unconscious & crashes into an asteroid. In deep pain, he hears a voice & is greeted by Mantis. more

Summary: Spidey crashes into a warehouse to find a crippled Hobgoblin. He tells Spidey how he poisoned Harry in order to coerce his help. He relates how he stole the Kingpin's ledger then was injured in a fall when the Kingpin's henchmen shot up his glider. Hobgoblin lost the ledger, so he gives Spidey a tracer that is covered with toxin. He will give Spidey the antidote when he gives him the ledger. Spidey goes to Curt Connors for help, but there isn't sufficient time to develop an antidote. Spidey goes to a mobster's yacht & fights through his henchmen to recover the ledger. He goes to Connors' house to check on the status of obtaining an alternative antitoxin & finds the Kingpin's henchmen there. The Kingpin offers him the antidote in exchange for the ledger. Spidey delivers the antidote to Harry, then goes after the Hobgoblin. He can't get to HG because he is behind a transparent barrier. HG tells him that he doesn't have the antidote & wouldn't let him live before disappearing beneath the floor. Spidey finds the Kingpin outside waiting for him. KP calls him an amateur for letting HG escape. more

Summary: Doug engineers a Danger Room exercise for the team involving the Teen Avengers. The Impossible Man lands his gigantic green spaceship outside the mansion & says that he is looking for the X-Men (who aren't home). IM demonstrates his shape-changing power to the team. Warlock accepts IM's challenge, & they disappear. The team decides to go after them. They find the two aliens on a Manhattan pier fighting as Hulk & Thing. They disappear, & the team tracks them to a beach in Rio, where they are flexing their manly muscles in front of the ladies. Disgusted by the showing, Sam rockets the two aliens into the ocean, which causes them to return to their normal form. The two aliens disappear after their female audience vents its anger at them for being frauds. The aliens crash the Wimbledon tennis tournament & engage in a tennis match. The team interrupts the match by teleporting onto center court. The two aliens take off again. The team finds them in London fighting as Captain Britain & Captain America, then they change into a variety of characters. The two aliens teleport to Moscow, taking the team with them. Illyana sends Warlock to Limbo, but IM turns into Thanos & demands that he be returned immediately. Everyone then teleports to Tokyo when they are surrounded by Soviet tanks & soldiers. The two aliens fight each other as the Watcher & Galactus then as Godzilla & a giant robot Samurai warrior. Based on the team's suggestion, Warlock wins by changing color, which is something IM cannot do. Later back at the mansion, Magneto finds out what the team was up to in his absence when he sees them on TV interrupting the Wimbledon tennis tournament. more

Summary: Sam & Rahne fret over what to wear to Lila Cheney's party. Raek, a party crasher, wants to talk Lila into helping them steal some jewels before they are destroyed. Raek sabotages Sam's dance with Lila using ball bearings. When Sam feels that Lila is going to dump him, Raek talks Sam into taking some drugs to feel better. Raek & his gang fly off with the groggy Sam, intending to drop him into the water to drown. Sam activates his Cannonball power to try to escape, but lacks control due to being drugged. Raek & his gang shoot at him. The other team members see what is happening & go to the garbage barge that Sam has crashed into. Raek & his gang shoot at them, but the team disarms them. Lila shows up on the barge after noticing that they were missing. Dani shows that Raek's greatest desire is the Jewels of Ikerno. Lila says that they had asked for her help before, but she had turned them down. Lila shows Sam that she still cares for him. With Lila's approval, Illyana sends Raek & his gang to Limbo for trying to kill them. Illyana teleports them home, since their clothes are a mess from fighting in the garbage. more

Summary: Now: Justice is attacked by Damon's Hounds of Winter at a gas station. He destroys them by blowing up oil barrels with his sword. Prior: Webstral finds the injured Justice in the desert after his battle with Black Justice. Now: Justice escapes two cops who are harassing him for vagrancy. Prior: Webstral tells Justice that his total corruption was the source of the Black Power used by Damon to conquer Spring. Justice became totally corrupt when he killed Black Justice in anger. Webstral creates an illusion showing the aftermath of the conquest of Spring by Damon. Webstral sacrifices himself to cleanse Justice of his corruption & to restore him to full health. Now: Justice vaporizes two muggers who were going to kill him. more

Summary: After Shuri practices her fighting skills against a robot, she is challenged by Okoye because Shuri will not tell her where T'Challa is at. T'Challa hunts with Killmonger in the wild. Killmonger tells him that he left Wakanda due to a difference in beliefs with those of that nation. Killmonger takes T'Challa to a tunnel opening carved in the form of a black panther. They jump down a shaft where there are vibranium crystals present at the bottom. They then float down another shaft, thanks to Ororo's wind power. They find themselves in a temple built by an unknown civilization. They show T'Challa a large glowing green orb in a room that is surrounded by skeletons. They tell him that this is what Moon Knight is looking for.

Summary: IM demolishes some old dilapidated buildings for an urban renewal project. At the new Stark Enterprises building, Tony find that Mrs. Arbogast has returned to her former job as office manager. Rhodey returns to his condo to find Marcy Pearson, a fellow employee he has been dating, waiting for him. Tony is holding a housewarming party in the evening. While Tony is flying to the party as IM, he removes a burning fuel truck & delivers a pregnant woman to the hospital. IM then provides aid during a mudslide & rescues a cat from a tree. Tony finally makes it to the party to find that most people have left. He meets a female party crasher who wants to be an actress & was hoping to meet the right people. Off of the coast, Force uses his power blasts to sink a merchant ship with the crew on board. He flies over to his unknown boss' submarine & thinks about his next target: Iron Man. more

Summary: The Stalker chases a teenage girl he blinded out of her bedroom window & into the arms of the Hulk, who protects her from him. The Stalker disappears when the police show up, as does the Hulk who jumps away. The girl is in the hospital after having her eyes slashed by the Stalker. She tells Banner about the attack & a suspect; Banner is pretending to be a psychiatrist. Banner watches Gil Jeffers outside his window. Gil likes to watch nothing but horror movies. As Gil drinks himself to sleep, Banner turns into the Hulk, & the Stalker rises from Gil's body. The Stalker takes the Hulk to a bar where there are four men who assailted a woman & got away with it. The Stalker attacks the men & tells Hulk to kill one to strengthen his dark side. Instead, the Hulk grabs the Stalker, who gets away from him. The Stalker carjacks a police car but crashes into the Hulk. He runs back to Gil's place & tries to wake him up. The Hulk punches through the Stalker who screams. In the hospital, the girl's parents are told that she may regain part of her eyesight. Banner stands by the bed of Gil, who is in a coma. Banner says that the hatred of the Stalker replaced his soul & now there is nothing left but a shell. more

Summary: The Inhumans bring Luna & her nanny, Maya, to the FF HQ. Riding his motorcycle, Captain America drops Ms. Marvel (Sharon Ventura) off at the front of the FF's HQ building. The Inhumans take custody of Quicksilver with the hope of curing him of his mental illness. Ben sees Sharon on the street & goes looking for her. He is joined by Crystal, who wonders whether she should stay a member. Suddenly, Diablo & his elementals appear before them. Reed, Sue & Johnny join them, but all are overcome by one of the elementals. They are saved when Sharon knocks out Diablo, but Ben has to stop her from killing him. Sharon tells Ben that she hates men after what she has gone through. After they talk through it, Ben tells her that she is joining his FF. more

Summary: Dr. Doom requests the use of Franklin to free his mother from Mephisto, but the FF refuse to give him up. Doom attacks them, & Franklin is kidnapped by a robot. The robot drops Franklin off with Doom. Johnny brings the deactivated robot back to HQ. After the FF head for Latveria, Kristoff (who thinks he's Doom) summons the robot to free him from his holding cell. The FF follow Kristoff past the security devices to get into Doom's castle, but they are reactivated when Kristoff detects them. Doom summons Mephisto with a magic spell & offers to exchange Franklin's soul for that of his mother. Kristoff interrupts them when he attacks Doom, thinking he is a fraud. The FF enter the chamber through a hole in the wall created by Ben. Reed follows Mephisto, who has Franklin, back to his Nether-Realm. Franklin attacks Mephisto with his power, & Mephisto sends both Reed & Franklin back. Reed tells Doom that Franklin could have beaten Mephisto if Doom hadn't had psychic dampers in place. The Doom-Bots turn on Doom thinking he is the fraud. Doom flies away to escape them & pledges to deal with Kristoff another day. Kristoff tells the FF that they do not concern him now & that they should leave immediately. more

Summary: Gomi mourns the death of Don the Lobster while his friends console him. Moon Boy tries to tell Bobby that Devil Dinosaur is sorry for killing Don. Ariel reminds Chance of their mission to deliver mutants to their bosses. Jamie tells his double that he won't absorb him since it doesn't feel right. Bill decides to go after Devil Dinosaur but attacks Moon Boy instead. Bobby tries to keep DD away from Bill. Siryn breaks up the fracas with a sonic scream. Warlock starts to act of character. Jamie's other doubles disappear. Bobby accuses Chance & Ariel of splitting them up based on whether they care for others. Boom Boom throws a time-bomb at Chance for being a jerk but it doesn't explode. The mutants' powers no longer work. Ariel feels someone is canceling their powers. BB's bomb then goes off. The other Jamie says that a latent mutant's reading was off the scale while monitoring Cerebro. He also says that Cerebro is reading the two Jamies as distinct individuals. Feeling that they are in danger, Ariel transports them to her home planet, the Coconut Grove. more

Summary: Oedi tells Vanth how things have changed during the two years he was in a coma. Those with special powers are associated with those working for Lord Papal, so they remain undercover. He shows him statutes of Skeevo & Gecko Lingus who are regarded as the heroes of the revolution. The names of the others in Dreadstar & Company have been forgotten. Oedi tells him that he is now a cop that hunts down paranormal war criminals. They teleport to the asteroid HQ of his Special Forces Unit. Vanth meets Skeevo who is its figurehead; Oedi is really the one in charge. Syzygy tells him he is trying to locate Doctor Delphi & is preparing for the return of the 12 gods. Willow takes care of her lobotomitzed mother & is constantly haunted by mental babble due to her enhanced telepathic abilities. Vanth meets Iron Angel, a cyborg created by the Instrumentality & who rebelled against them. The cocky Fixx challenges Vanth to a duel. Oedi stops it when Fixx uses his sonics at full power. Vanth meets their former foe, Tueton, who Oedi found was working as a junkyard dog. Vanth decides to join his unit. Oedi gives him his badge. more

Summary: Due to the rain, DD uses a cab to follow another car containing two city politicians who are involved in a drug ring. DD jumps out of the cab onto the top of the other car as Phalen strangles to death Gromosky, who wanted out of the drug ring. DD stops the car, then confronts a group of hitmen that were following. DD takes out the hitmen but the stopped cab is shot up. The cab driver, Nigel, who is a former convict, is held as a material witness. He is also being held on other charges for illegally operating the cab. Tired of waiting, Chance bursts into a meeting of the leaders of the drug ring. The ring's boss hires him to kill Nigel before he testifies before a grand jury. DD waits at the safe house where Nigel is being kept. Chance crashes through the safe house which sends Nigel running outside. DD stops Chance from shooting Nigel. Chance flies away when Nigel enters a nearby truck stop, wearing nothing but a towel. DD follows him inside, where the two are confronted by a group of toughs. Phalen is executed by a police officer working for the drug ring. Later, DD & Nigel get a ride into the city by a truck driver. Nigel leaves DD, refusing to testify, since hearing on the radio that Phalen is dead. Nigel goes to his apartment to find Chance there waiting for him & holding a note from Nigel's wife that she left him. Chance decides to not kill Nigel for beating the odds as an ex-convict & for Phalen being dead. DD comes into the room through a window. Chance flips a coin to decide whether he should kill Nigel, but DD hits it in the air with his billy club. After Chance jets through the window, Nigel finds that the coin has heads on both sides (he lives). DD talks to Nigel in a cab after he testifies to the grand jury. Nigel tells DD that his life is a wreck due to him. Nigel tells him that he is going to go find his wife & kid. He then tells DD to go easier on this cab driver. more

Summary: Captain Marvel destroys Plutos weapons. The Avengers fight against Pluto's Unliving Legions. Thor fills the gap in the Pathway of Infinity with the gigantic rock that Pluto meant to crush the Avengers with. The Avengers cross the dimensional doorway into Olympus. There, they meet the stranger who shows them what the gods are doing. Namor goes to his old ally, Aphrodite, to seek her help. In the foundry of Hephaestus, Thor retrieves his hammer from him. They are attacked by Hepaestus' golden women automatons. The Avengers save Hephaestus & Athena from molten metal spilled from a giant crucible broken during the fighting. Namor brings in Aphrodite, & the Avengers convince the three Greek gods they are telling the truth about Hercules. They go to Apollo's chamber where Hercules lays. Artemis has brought the Wasp in front of Zeus. Dr. Druid tries to use his mental powers to heal Hercules. Zeus arrives with Ares & other gods & hurls a thunderbolt at the Avengers. Captain America survives but his legs are broken. Those Avengers still standing attack Zeus & those gods who are still supporting him.

Summary: Spidey fights against Electro after his henchmen free him from a police paddywagon. He defeats him with water from a fire hydrant. Robbie Robertson holds a surprise party at the Bugle to congratulate Peter on his upcoming marriage. Peter gives MJ her ring while sticking to the apartment's ceiling. After leaving, MJ listens to a cassette tape from Bruce in his Ferrari. At Aunt May's home, Peter recalls his early days as Spidey & Gwen's death. When MJ arrives, they tell May & Anna that they are getting married. After they leave, MJ gets into Bruce's car with him. MJ shows up at Peter's apartment later & asks him to take her to where he goes to think. He takes her to the top of the Empire State Building. Afterwards, Peter spends the night looking at a picture of Gwen. After MJ & Peter get their marriage license, Peter asks Flash to be his best man. At dinner, Peter is about to tell MJ they should call it off, until she shows him a picture of her wedding dress. At Peter's bachelor party, Peter expresses his doubts about getting married, but Flash & Harry talk him out of calling it off. MJ gets a telegram from the persistent Bruce at her bachlorette party. That night Peter dreams of marrying MJ as Spidey with super-heroes & villains in attendance. Gwen tells Peter goodbye forever. Peter wakes up after the super-villains come after MJ, intending to kill her. MJ is picked up by Bruce after the party. Peter sits at the top of the Brooklyn Bridge holding a picture of Gwen. Both say that they have to make a decision. On their wedding day, MJ arrives an hour late in Bruce's car. Peter then shows up carrying his shoes. They exchange their vows. At the reception, MJ tells Peter that Bruce paid for their honeymoon to Paris, since he wasn't going on the trip with MJ. On returning, Peter carries MJ into their apartment with one arm & their suitcases in the other. more

Summary: In Pittsburgh, Spidey web-slings his way to his hotel. Smythe has his crated Spider-Slayer loaded on board a 747 bound for Pittsburgh. Peter goes to Gayle's home & finds MJ with her estranged father. They leave after an argument, & MJ tells Peter about the stolen manuscript scheme that her father & sister are involved in. MJ decides that she is going to help her father. In prison, MJ walks away after talking to Gayle. Peter convinces Gayle to help MJ. MJ & Peter retrieve the manuscript at its hidden location at Duquesne University. The Spider-Slayer finds them there, & Peter leads it away as Spidey. The Spider-Slayer catches Spidey by a bridge & holds him underwater. MJ, in pursuit, slams a car into its leg, which frees Spidey. The Spider-Slayer pursues Spidey up Mt. Washington with MJ following in the trolley. MJ hits the Spider-Slayer with a bat while it is pummeling Spidey. The Spider-Slayer grabs MJ & is about to deliver a lethal blow when an enraged Spidey attacks it from behind. Spidey rips open the Spider-Slayer & pulls Smythe out, warning him to never harm anyone else again. Later, Peter & MJ go to Gayle's house to deliver the stolen manuscript to her father. The police come out of another room & arrest him. MJ says that she didn't want to put Peter in the position of supporting her when she was doing the wrong thing. Peter & MJ say goodbye to Gayle, who is out on bail, & to her sons. In the Pittsburgh airport, MJ tells Peter that she will marry him. more

Summary: Alpha Flight sees a rose growing out of the frozen tundra, clearly a sign of magic. They seek the Fountainhead to cure Northstar & Aurora of their afflictions. Box drills down to find the source of the magic & finds the Viking village. They are watched by Loki, who is angry at them for not accepting his gift of godhood due to its price (see X-Men / Alpha Flight LS). Loki decides to direct some mischief toward them. Alpha Flight goes down the drill hole & finds the former location of the Firefountain, which is no longer there. Aurora finds a golden faerie gate at the bottom of the chasm. They open the gate & go inside. Loki changes the runes on it back to their evil forms. Loki inflicts a fever on Northstar so that he is no longer able to go with the others. Aurora decides to stay by his side, even in the dark. The team finds a black firefountain in another chasm. They are attacked by dark elves. Puck is knocked off of a walkway into the black firefountain, which changes him back to his normal size but releases the demon Raazer that was inside him. Northstar & Aurora are confronted by Loki & darklings. Loki shows them how their father met their mother, a Light Alfer elf, & were married. After they were born, their parents were pursued by Light Alfers, which led them to dying in a car crash that the infants survived. After Loki leaves, they are attacked by the darklings. Aurora decides to give Northstar all of her light to cure him. The darklings take Aurora away while Northstar is fighting against them. The rest of AF is confronted by Raazer, whose scimitar drains away lifeforce, & dark elves. Northstar arrives to stun Raazer with his light. Overwhelmed, the team flees to the gate & closes it per Heather's orders, even though Puck & Aurora have been left behind. Back on the surface, Northstar flies off & the gate to Alfheim opens to admit him. Loki finds himself in front of We Who Sit In The Shadow to be judged for taking revenge against Alpha Flight. In his defense, he tells them that he did them good. Aurora was cured of her multiple personalities & taken to a place where she will find peace. Now cured, Puck was sent to Tibet, a place he loves. Told that he is returning to Asgard, Loki instead finds himself faced by Raazer & the dark elves (as a lesson for changing signs). On the flight back to Tamarind Island, Heather ponders what has occurred to AF under her leadership, but decides that she is in the best position to lead the team.

Summary #1: In his ethereal form, Loki seeks a pawn to kill Thor for him. He finds SS & uses a temporeal spell to learn SS's background. The Warriors Three warn Thor that Loki plans to kill him after Loki had told them such. Loki goads SS to fight against him when he threatens mankind. When SS passes his test, Loki tells him that Thor is planning to overthrow Odin & that he will free him from Earth if he stops him. After arriving in Asgard, SS confronts Thor at a banquet, but Thor invites him to dine with him, after calming down the Warriors Three. Following a tournament, the champion throws the sword that he won at SS at Loki's urging. Loki then influences SS to attack the Asgardians. Loki tells his minion that he has enhanced SS's power with his magic. Odin is informed of the battle, but Odin declines to intervene due to the pure hearts of the combatants. SS's enhanced cosmic power keeps Thor from using his hammer against him. Under Loki's influence, Balder tries to slay SS. When Thor breaks through the cosmic shield holding his hammer, SS realizes that Thor has been holding back his strength & that he was duped by Loki. With the fighting stopped, Loki sends SS back to Earth.

Summary #2: The Watcher recounts the legacy of the tyrant conqueror, Tim Boo Ba, who in the end was drowned by a mom who spilled water on her son's model solar system. more

Summary #1: Blastaar flies around the Negative Zone, bemoaning the fact that he is unable to conquer worlds as he wishes. Jean is testing one of Xavier's devices for converting matter into radio energy. The device overloads, somehow creating a connection to the Negative Zone, & allowing Blastaar to enter their world. Beast is blasted unconscious by Blastaar. Angel is also knocked to the ground in an aerial showdown with Blastaar. Iceman revives Beast using icy vapors. Jean has Iceman create two ice duplicates of himself, which Jean sends against Blastaar using her telekinetic power. Blastaar destroys them both with his power blasts. However, the water from a melted ice manniquin forms a link with the energy from the device & zaps Blastaar, apparently sending him back to the Negative Zone (the X-Men think he is dead, not knowing his origin).

Summary #2: While Hank lies unconscious, El Conquistador's stolen solar generator is about be activated when the sun rises. Waking up, Hank tries to stop him but is thwarted by El Conquistador's kinetic trident. Cyclop, Angel & Bobby burst through the door. They make quick work of the guards. Instead of providing power to El Conquistador's machine, it is directed at him due to a mental adjustment by Xavier outside. The three X-Men have evacuated the exploding building due to Xavier's mental warning, along with Hank & his kidnapped parents. Later at the McCoy home, Hank is in uniform as the newest X-Man. His codename remains his boyhood nickname of Beast.

Summary: Thor & the Recorder float helplessly in space after their ship is destroyed in the crossfire between Ego & Galactus. They are picked up by the Wanderers & restored to health. Ego & Galactus continue their battle. The Wanderers' ship is damaged by meteors that Galactus had flung at Ego. Thor hurls his hammer at Galactus, causing him pain. When Thor engages Galactus at close range, Galactus grabs him & hurls him at Ego. Ego uses a ray to cushion his fall. Thor finds the Wanderers & the Recorder on Ego, having been rescued by it. Thor builds up the energy in his hammer & hurls it at Galactus. It drives Galactus back to his Visi-Sphere. The Visi-Sphere then enters Galactus' giant star craft & departs. Ego forms a human avatar & tells the Wanderers that they can make it their home. more

Summary: The Mandarin completes his lab beneath Mei-Ling's shop. He creates fake photos of Tony Stark with communist agents. Reporters interrupt Tony's date with Janice Cord to ask him about the photos. Tony leaves them without comment. Since Tony has not responded about the photos, the government, represented by Senator Byrd, cancels their contracts with SI. Tony receives a call from Mei-Ling to come to her shop if he wants a solution to his dilemma. Outside the shop, Iron Man runs into Fury & Sitwell who want him to meet with SHIELD's executive committee. IM flees from them & avoids the SHIELD heli-carrier. Tony goes to Cord Lab to hide & runs into Janice. He convinces Janice to trust him despite her doubts. IM crashes through the skylight of Mei-Ling's shop & is confronted by the Mandarin. The Mandarin animates two stone statutes that attack IM. IM quickly shatters the two statues into pieces. He follows the Mandarin into his lab. They have a brief skirmish before IM is immobilized by neutralizer rays. The Mandarin boasts that he is going to remove IM's helmet to prove he is Tony Stark & then destroy him with his power rings.

Summary: The alien warlord brings the Hulk to his planet as an offering to the Galaxy Master. When the Hulk attacks him, the Galaxy Master uses various transformations to try to kill him. The alien princess sees this as a golden opportunity to dispose of their tyrant. She recalls how the Galaxy Master conquered her world & destroyed other worlds that were seen as a threat to it. She orders her planet's forces to attack it. Hulk is spared from being sent to the core of planet due to the distraction caused by the attack. The princess' ship is destroyed, & the Galaxy Master captures her in a tractor beam. Hulk leaps into the beam which carries him inside the Galaxy Master. Hulk destroys its brain, then saves the princess from falling to her death. While fleeing, the warlord falls to his death in the chasm created for the Hulk. The princess agrees with the Hulk's demand for him to leave her world. However, the Hulk also demands that the spaceship leave immediately before the cabin is pressurized properly. Summary: In Attilan, Reed, Johnny & Ben unsuccessfully attempt to break out of their holding cell. Reed theorizes that they are being hypnotized to believe the walls are impenetrable. Maximus has his evil Inhumans dress him in his regal attire for his coronation. Black Bolt carefully controls the power of his voice to break the Royal Family out of their holding cell. The Royal Family quickly defeat the Alpha Primitives who attack them. The FF threesome escape from their cell by believing that there are no walls. They are confronted again by Zorr, who they quickly overcome before it can use its hypnotic inducer, as Reed suspected it had. Maximus declares himself Emperor Eternal to the crowd & prepares to fire his Hypno-Gun to subject the rest of the world to his rule. Crystal uses her elemental power to destroy the gun before it can be fired. Maximus flees on the back of Stallior. Black Bolt stops the angry crowd from pursuing & killing Maximus. Maximus & his evil Inhumans escape Attilan in his hidden space ship. Maximus swears that he will return. more

Summary: Matt decides to give up being DD due to always sacrificing his love for Karen & his friendship with Foggy. When he is about to put his costume away in the closet, he finds a robot waiting inside. He fights back against the powerful robot, but he is eventually knocked unconscious. As the robot carries Matt away, it hears Willie Lincoln & his dog coming, drops Matt & departs the area. Flashback: In prison, Biggie Benson meets with Starr Saxon. He hires Saxon to have his robot destroy DD for his interference with Willie (see DD#47). At his home, Willie bandages Matt's head. Matt goes home & waits for the robot in his gym as DD. The robot bursts through a wall & tries to grab DD, who has greased his costume. After DD is knocked down, the robot wraps him up in a padded mat & applies pressure to subdue him.

Summary: On the ship's video screen, Yon-Rogg & Una watch Mar-Vell & Carol kiss on Earth. On his return to the ship, Mar-Vell is given an assignment from Ronan to learn about The Organization as a prelude to forming an alliance with them. Number One executes Number 23 with the Eon-Ray for his failure to capture or kill Lawson. Mar-Vell & Carol bail out of her car when The Organization's agents shoot the Eon-Ray at them. It turns the car to rust & a bird into a pterosaur. Mar-Vell snaps the neck of the pterosaur. The unconscious Carol is captured by the agents, who leave a note for Lawson as to where she can be found. Mar-Vell goes to the location, where he proposes to Number One that they be allies, much to Carol's dismay. When Carol escapes her guards with Mar-Vell's help, Number One realizes he has been decieved. Mar-Vell is attacked by the guards until Number One shoots him with the Eon-Ray. Mar-Vell wrests the gun away before he dies of old age & manages to reverse the ray to save his life. He then turns the aging ray on Number One & his guards. He flies Carol safely away from the crumbling building. Ronan orders Yon-Rogg to have Mar-Vell executed for disobeying his orders. Una flies to the surface to warn Mar-Vell but is struck down by a stun ray from the patrolship carrying the firing squad. As Una wakes up, she sees Mar-Vell standing before the firing squad & telling the officer to do his duty. more

Summary: Steve Rogers is out for an evening stroll when the Hulk bursts through a wall, pursued by soldiers. The Hulk is hit by an ionic energy cannon. Rick Jones shows up while Cap is fighting against the Hulk. Rick tries to calm the Hulk but is knocked out when the Hulk destroys the cannon. Hulk then leaps away. Cap takes Rick to Avengers Mansion to recover. Rick appears before Cap dressed in Bucky's outfit. Cap objects at first but then relents. The Avengers' alarm goes off, & the two head into the sewer system, where they are met by a force of Hydra agents, who are going to poison the water supply. Feeling the fighting is too dangerous, Cap tells Bucky to leave. Madame Hydra orders Cap to be killed, & he is attacked by a Hydra agent in a power vest. Cap defeats the agent. Rick comes back to see the Hydra agent holding Cap's shield. Rick charges in to avenge Cap's death. Revealing himself, Cap then uses his shield to break the surrounding water lines. Madame Hydra captures Rick with her whip & then pushes him toward the raging water, where the Hydra agents are being swept away. Cap extends his arm to save Rick from the torrent. Cap compliments Rick on helping him to beat Hydra. more

Summary: Black Panther recharges the Vision with solar energy through the jewel on his forehead. Dr. Strange appears in his astral form & says that he needs the Avengers' help in order to save the world. He leads them to a graveyard where the Black Knight lies in a coma. Strange relates how BK was hit by a mystic bolt from the Crystal of Conquest by Marduk of the Sons of Satannish. Back in Avengers Mansion, Strange operates on BK to save his life. The Vision tells them of a report of new volcanos in Antarctica. BP receives a call that there is ice forming in Wakanda. BP & Vision go to Wakanda to find the Frost Giant, Ymir. Hawkeye & BK go to Antarctica to find Surtur, the Fire Demon. The Avengers attempt to hold the immortals at bay. Dr. Strange achieves mastery over the crystal & casts a spell that brings the immortals face to face. They strike at each other, releasing a force that sends them back to their own worlds. more

Summary: Spidey looks for the Kingpin after he stole the clay tablet from the ESU Exhibition Hall. While waiting, Kingpin slaps a henchman after he mentions his wife. The protesters, including Randy Robertson, are interrogated by the police as to whether they were working with the Kingpin. Gwen gets into a spat with the protesters outside when they mention Peter. Spidey finds the Kingpin's hideout but senses a trap. The Kingpin's henchmen fire at a web dummy in the window. Spidey swings in to knock them out, then engages the Kingpin in personal combat. Kingpin grabs Spidey's forearm, & Spidey pretends to pass out from the pain. Spidey resumes the fight when the Kingpin lets go. Spidey webs up his cane, causing it to explode, which stuns the Kingpin. As the police arrive to arrest the Kingpin, he tells them that Spidey is his accomplice. Spidey follows the Kingpin's aid, Wilson, to where the tablet is stored & takes possession of it. When Spidey alerts the police outside, they shoot at him. An angry Spidey declares that if he is going to be treated as a menace, then he will become one.

Summary: While Jean & Scott clean up the debris on the roof from their prior conflict, Scott wonders out loud if he should leave or if the team should be disbanded. Hank, Bobby & Caliban are looking for Boom-Boom, but Bobby is having trouble controlling his powers due to Loki. On the ship, Apocalypse's three Horsemen squabble amongst themselves. He sends them out to attack & defeat X-Factor. Jean tries to train Leech on how to control his power after a mishap on the roof earlier. The three mutants lead the Horsemen to Central Park to minimalize the damage & casualties. They are joined by Jean & Scott in the battle. Plague touches Beast, who collapses from sickness. Iceman creates an ice dome to protect them from the Horsemen's aerial assault. Jean knocks Plague off her "horse" with a tree. On Cyclops' orders, Iceman uses his power to encase the Horsemen in ice. Apolcalypse then teleports his Horsemen away. As the team leaves the park, Scott has refound his confidence & purpose. more
