The writing I thought was done really well. The conversations flowed well, and nothing felt forced to me. It's how I would imagine MJ and Felicia to interact in real life. I do wish we got to see a little more dialogue between them, showing them truly forming a friendship and not talking just because there's a dangerous situation they have to solve. Read Full Review

Jackpot & Black Cat has the bones to be a solid superhero outing, but it needs to lay additional foundation on the structure of this issue to make it a real winner. Read Full Review

Not as memorable as the best of McKay's work with the characters and the art is a little hit-and-miss, but pleasantly diverting and a perfectly OK start. Benefits greatly from the Felicia/MJ team being one of the few genuinely interesting ideas to come out of superhero comics in the last couple of years, so we'll see how I feel when the inherited momentum wears off, but I'm apt to come back for #2

The story is okay and the pacing and art are both good, but the voice and character work are poor.

I love Black Cat and MJ, but Jackpot shouldn’t be a thing. MJ is powerful in her own right and never needed a power gimmick.

The book is fine, but doesn’t make me care enough about something I never wanted in the first place.

I wasn't incredibly looking forward to this after I felt very "meh" about Bronfman's one-shot for Jackpot. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. While I would say this is an improvement on that book, this still isn't particularly great. I think this has a solid premise with the Obscura app and everything, but I just wish the writing and/or the execution of it all was more interesting; or just better? Even the art was a little hit-or-miss for me at times. As with any issue I rate in the "yellows", I hope this can improve with the next issue.

Typical modern "writers" doing what modern "writers" do. Marvel continues to give us all exactly what we don't want. Thanks a lot. Only thing I enjoyed was daydreaming about the villain doing what he threatens to do....KILL PAUL! I hated this.

It feels like marvel is determined to disrespect the once upon a time great characters and they have successfully made me glad Stan lee is not alive to see this.

What a horrible and disrespectful thing, if Marvel wants to attract an LGBT audience, PLEASE PUT IT ON THE COVER OF THIS BOOK that it is for this audience, and not for anyone who wants to read a comic book. Horrible cover, it's practically a version of Black Cat who has now become a guy with big breasts.

Terrible what Marvel is doing. Surprisingly the drawings aren't that bad.
